Goodbye Fakes, Hello Lash Love: How to Safely Remove Fake Eyelashes Without Damaging Your Real Ones
Hey girl, taking off fake eyelashes can be a bit tricky, but don’t worry, I’ve got your back!
First things first, never ever pull your fake lashes off forcefully. This is a recipe for disaster and you could end up with your real lashes coming off with the fakes. And trust me, you don’t want that!
Instead, grab some oil-free makeup remover and soak a cotton pad with it. Gently press the pad against your eyelid and hold it there for a few seconds to allow the remover to soak in. Then, gently swipe the cotton pad down and away from your eye to remove the lash glue and fake lashes.
If the lashes aren’t budging, don’t panic. Soak another cotton pad in the makeup remover and hold it against your lashes for a few more seconds before trying again. And remember, slow and steady wins the race.
Personally, I also use a hand towel with hot water and hold the towel to my eyes for 30-60 seconds to loosen the glue and then take them off if I don’t have any makeup remover on hand. This has worked just as well for me too.
Once your fake lashes are off, give your real lashes a little love with some nourishing lash serum or oil to help them recover from the fake lash trauma.
So, there you have it! Now you can say goodbye to your fake lashes without damaging your real ones. Happy lash removing!
