WHAT TO WEAR FOR A SEXY BOUDOIR PHOTO SHOOT
Ready to make your boudoir photo shoot super epic and everything you dreamed it would be? Maybe this is your first boudoir session? Maybe it’s your 3rd? I love trying new things with every client and getting them into outfits they love and feel confident in. Usually, during a session, we start with the icebreaker outfit. Something that’s less revealing, less of a plunging neckline, or a little more covered. This is a great way to work into your confidence and build that up. I have had even the shyest ladies dancing in their 2nd outfit.
We have such a fun time pretty much laughing like besties! You just had your hair and makeup done by Amy. You look flawless. We have picked your 4-5 outfits and they might terrify you a little bit. But it’s okay you just need to trust in me and that I will NEVER make you look bad. I will ALWAYS hype you up and make you feel like a goddess fallen from the heavens. So let’s get into the different types of lingerie! And you will be getting my Lingerie Guide Magazine before your session as well which goes further into lingerie types and body types as well. And never fear I have over 300 pieces in my studio closet in sizes S – 4XL. And have never had anyone in that I didn’t have something that fit them.
Lace
Lace never goes out of style and its so classy. It makes everyone look beautiful. There are so many options when it comes to lace. Bodysuits, bodysuits with sleeves is one of my favorites because it covers our arms if we don’t like them with pretty lace and makes them look thinner. I’m always on the lookout for a sexy long sleeve bodysuit and I have multiple in my studio for you to try out.
Bodysuits
I love a good bodysuit and it is so flattering. You can have a longer romper-type bodysuit it you are curvier and it will hide any mom tummy. Go higher cut if your are a little more risque and show off your curves. It hides anything in the tummy area if you go full coverage.
Bra and Panties
I love a good bra and panties! Cute sets especially with embroidery just get me in the sexy feels! This one is great because if you get a bra with an underwire that fits you perfectly it’s going to look much better and hold the girls up and give you some great cleavage. And if you are worried about your tummy then don’t, because I have some awesome poses to hide anything you don’t love and accentuate all the stuff you do love! I’m pretty much a magician with posing.
3 Piece Sets
Pretty much the same as above but add a garter belt! This adds another layer of sexy. If you are self-conscious about your middle then this will help you as well. As long as it’s not too tight and squeezing you. Go up a size so it fits nicely and doesn’t give you any muffin tops.
What not to Wear
Some things you think may look awesome actually do not photograph very well. And they may be awesome for the bedroom or at home but should probably stay there.
Corsets
They are very stiff and it’s difficult to bend, pose, or do many things in them. They also sinch your waist in but leave your bum to muffin out and your girls to spill out of the top. They are more like on a shelf since they are squeezed in there so tight and nowhere to go. It’s not a great look for the girls. So if you really want a corset, then choose the type that is just the waist with the girls free to be in their own supportive bra.
Babydolls
This really go look great in the bedroom! They are flowy and you can play with the fabric and swish it around your hips. But for photographs, this is not ideal. It actually makes you look larger than you are. Your body stops and the fabric keeps going and billowing out making you look inches larger around the middle. If you lean over then the fabric falls straight down vs. hugging your curves and defining your waistline. Trust me a bodysuit and excellent posing will 100% make you look better. And trust I would never make you look bad 🙂
Implied Nudity
When in doubt or if you want to be a little more risque then go without any clothes or even a bed sheet. Nothing says sexy like the thought that you aren’t wearing a scrap of clothing at all. There are awesome ways to cover up everything so nothing is showing but you look fully nude.
Body Jewelry
A super fun outfit is body jewelry! I have a few pieces in my studio and it really amps up the spiciness level to about 100%! Let me tell you when you put it on its metal, so it’s COLD! But it’s so worth it and some of my favorite photos are with body jewelry on and I even did some photos of myself in one of my bras.
So however you choose to dress and whatever you choose to wear just know that you are going to look drop-dead gorgeous. And to choose items that you are drawn to and make you feel confident. If you don’t feel it then it’s going to come across in your photos. But if you have something you are scared to do then just save it for last at your shoot. I’m sure It won’t be as scary anymore. Lots of my clients by the end of it are stripping down and walking around with no clothes and just a sheet.
